Privacy Policy

Introduction
heictojpg.im (heictojpg.im) is a browser-based HEIC to JPG converter. This policy explains what we process—and what stays on your device.
Photos you convert
When you choose HEIC or HEIF files, decoding and JPG encoding run locally in your browser. We do not operate a conversion API that receives your image bytes for the primary conversion path. Photos are not stored on our servers as part of conversion.
You can verify this in developer tools: conversion does not require sending file bodies to our origin.
Information we may process
Basic request data
Like most websites, our hosting provider may log standard request metadata (for example IP address, user agent, path, and timestamps) for security, reliability, and abuse prevention. These logs are not photo contents.
Optional analytics
If analytics are enabled in the future, they will be limited to aggregated usage metrics (such as page views). Analytics will not be used to reconstruct your photos. This policy will be updated if that changes.
Cookies
We do not use advertising tracking cookies. A theme or preference setting may be used only for UI convenience if needed.
Data retention
We do not retain your HEIC inputs or JPG outputs on our servers. Local browser memory holds images only while you use the tool; clearing the queue or leaving the page releases those objects when the browser garbage-collects them.
Security
Traffic to the site is served over HTTPS. Because conversion is local, photo contents are not in transit to our servers during conversion.
Third-party services
Infrastructure (DNS, CDN, hosting) may process standard network metadata. We do not share your photos with third-party conversion services for the core product path.
Children’s privacy
This service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a new date.
